ICANN Reboots Top-Level Domain Application Process
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) will resume accepting proposals for new top-level domains on May 22, bringing its application system back online after a software glitch forced it to curtail the process. The agency, which claims the large majority of applicants were unaffected by the glitch, plans to keep the system open for five business days, closing it on May 30.
